HEALTHIER MIDDLESEX'S DATA DISPLAYS THE IMPACT THAT OUR COALITION OF MEMBERS HAS ON THE COMMUNITY. OUR REPORTS ALSO ALLOW US TO SEE AREAS OF SUCCESS AS WELL AS AREAS THAT ARE IN NEED OF IMPROVEMENT.

Data can be used to monitor process and progress towards goals and desired outcomes. The use of data is important for program planning and evaluation as it provides a baseline upon which to periodically measure advancement towards goals. Healthier Middlesex aims to examine all essential components of health, such as knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors, social and physical environments, as well as healthcare access and utilization.

We use data from geographic regions, such as zip codes, for determining changes over time, space, and social group to determine whether our actions are having the desired effect within the target communities and populations that we serve. Healthier Middlesex is committed to engaging and understanding our community in order to develop effective, evidence-based strategies to address priority health needs and inequities in health and health care.

2019 CHNA REPORT

This 2019 Community Health Needs Assessment displays results from the RWJUH/SPUH Community Health Needs Assessment Survey and secondary public health data from the Behavioral Health Risk Factor & Surveillance System (BRFSS), Hospital Discharge Data, Healthy People 2020, County Health Rankings and Key Informant Interviews conducted as an assessment of needs in Middlesex and Somerset Counties.
