Data can be used to monitor process and progress towards goals and desired outcomes. The use of data is important for program planning and evaluation as it provides a baseline upon which to periodically measure advancement towards goals. Healthier Middlesex aims to examine all essential components of health, such as knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors, social and physical environments, as well as healthcare access and utilization.

We use data from geographic regions, such as zip codes, for determining changes over time, space, and social group to determine whether our actions are having the desired effect within the target communities and populations that we serve. Healthier Middlesex is committed to engaging and understanding our community in order to develop effective, evidence-based strategies to address priority health needs and inequities in health and health care.
